Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics
The Collaborative Research Center SFB Transregio 109 is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and vereint brings together scientists from the TU München with colleagues from Berlin, Graz and Vienna to pursue ground breaking research in the fields of geometry, dynamical systems, analysis and computer topology.
Imperial-TUM Mathematical Sciences Hub
Imperial-TUM Mathematical Science Hub
The TUM Department of Mathematics has joined together with Imperial College London to form the Imperial-TUM Mathematical Sciences Hub. After kick-off workshops 2019 in London and in January 2020 in Garching, exchange visits between both nodes will follow, financially supported by the respective Mathematics Departments and the TUM Global Incentive Fund. IGDK Munich - Graz
Optimization and Numerical Analysis for Partial Differential Equations with Nonsmooth Structures
In the International Research Training Group IGDK, financed by the German Reserarch Council (DFG), the high level qualification of doctorate students is supported through involvement in a wide range of interdisciplinary research projects in the areas of optimal control, numeric mathematics and analysis.
AdONE
Research Training Group "Advanced Optimization in a Networked Economy"
Saving rescourses, intelligent networking and optimal use of big data: The DFG-financed Research Training Group AdONE concentrates on Operations Research and Management Science. The researchers develop models and processes for software, which enable efficient planing and management of resources.
