Next Generation Models of Financial Data
Kick-off Meeting in Raitenhaslach

The former monastery in Raitenhaslach: The extensive restautated prelate’s wing is home to the TUM Science & Study Center.
Next Generation Models of Financial Data: In order to intensify cooperation on this topic, a Kick-off Meeting takes place in September 2021.
Three days of talks, activities and project work
The aim of the three-day meeting is to resume in-person activities of academic work, which have been on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our priority is to further opportunities for collaborations in the field of financial mathematics between the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Imperial College London (ICL) within our Mathematical Sciences Hub, as well as to strengthen existing collaborations (both within academia and with the financial industry) and to facilitate an integration of these networks into the Hub.
The Kick-off Meeting consists of stimulating talks, discussions, and ample opportunities for in-depth exchange. Contents will cover machine learning methods in financial mathematics, in particular generative methods and signature methods. Speakers from academia and industry hold the plenary talks. They are aimed at participants at graduate level or above.
The meeting on Next Generation Models of Financial Data is also a meeting opportunity for the scientists involved in the project "Machine Learning Tools for Adversarial Optimisation" within the second cohort of the Joint Academy of Doctoral Studies (JADS) "Mathematics of Information: Theory and Application", which takes up its work in October 2021.
