Have fun, be creative and learn at the same time! Discover the Department of Mathematics with your whole family in our varied programm, and experience mathematics "hands on". Take part in the slide competition, the math quiz or the escape game. Explore the mobile app "TUM interactive", or find out how mathematics enriches our everyday lives in the exhibition ix-quadrat and in our exciting lectures.

Exhibition ix-quadrat

Have fun and learn: The exhibition ix-quadrat offers "hands on" mathematics - and amazes children and adults alike.

Math quiz

Try solving riddles and working out puzzles in the great math quiz: just grab a sheet and a pen, and off you go. The winners receive a prize. Everyone 10 years and older can participate.

Slide competition

Who achieves the fastest time? On a carpet, you whiz through the parabola slide from the third floor to the Magistrale. The fastest racers receive great prizes.

Room escape game

Join the mathematical room escape game! The goal is simple: In 30 minutes, you and your team have to find the key to escape from the room. Registration on site.

Artificial intelligence, bio science or modern visualization with the app "TUM interactive": get to know the many faces of applied mathematics in the short lectures of the 360° Mathematics series (in German).

TUM interactive - experience science
Explore the TUM interactive app on a large hub screen.
With this app you can undertake an entertaining tour round the 14 departments of the Technical University of Munich - and become a researcher yourself.
Prof. Jürgen Richter-Gebert developed the app on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the TUM. More information and the links to download can be found at TUM interactive.
