Titel (Deutsch): Nichtlineare Diskrete Optimierung
Titel (Englisch): Nonlinear Discrete Optimization
Dozenten: Prof. Dr. Andreas S. Schulz
Anzahl der Plätze für Master/Diplom: 11

Inhalt:
This will be a reading seminar in which each student is expected to prepare one paper and present it in detail at a level that can be fully understood by the entire class. In advance of the class, it will be expected that you do at least a sketch of a dry run with me. The topic this term is ?Nonlinear Discrete Optimization.? We will study recent theoretical work on integer programming and combinatorial optimization problems with nonlinear objective functions, nonlinear constraints and/or nonlinear methods.
Empfohlene Voraussetzungen: Fundamentals of Convex Optimization (MA2504) as well as Combinatorial Optimization (MA4502) and/or Discrete Optimization (MA3502).
Weitere Informationen: An organizational meeting will be held during the first or second week of the semester. More information will be sent to registered participants in due time.

Literatur: Original scientific articles that will be assigned by the instructor.
