International School of Applied Mathematics (ISAM)

ISAM is the Graduate Center of the Mathematics Department at TU Munich. Membership is open to all mathematics graduate students pursuing a doctoral degree at our Department.

Munich faculty members are distinguished leaders at the intersecting point of mathematics with physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, medicine, economics, and finance. Outstanding scientists include holders of the Leibniz prize of DFG, the Max Planck Prize of the Max Planck Society, the Whitehead Prize of the London Mathematical Society, and the Medida Prix of the German Ministry of Education and Research.

The department also runs the fast-track elite undergraduate-to-PhD program TopMath.
